ABOUT PAOLO
A Stronger Future for the District of North Vancouver
Paolo Pucci was born on October 4, 1956, in the small village of Greci, Italy. In 1977 he came to Canada with a small suitcase and $50 in his pocket — and a strong work ethic, determination, and a dream of building a better future.
His brother was already living in North Vancouver. One month after arriving, Paolo married his wife, Maria. Nearly fifty years later they are still happily married, with two children and four grandchildren.
Determined to build a better life for his family, Paolo founded his own construction company and spent the next forty years working tirelessly, often seven days a week. Through perseverance and dedication he built not only a successful business, but a strong foundation for his family and for the generations that followed.
In 2010, Paolo helped his son establish Puccini's Fine Foods, which has grown into one of the North Shore's most successful and best-loved delis.
Paolo's story is one of immigration, family, hard work, entrepreneurship, and community. He believes that with determination and the right opportunities, anything is possible — and he wants to bring that same spirit of hard work and service to District Hall.
WHAT PAOLO WILL FIGHT FOR
FASTER PERMITS
Businesses and homeowners shouldn't wait months for a simple permit. Paolo will cut processing times and bring common sense back to City Hall.
SIMPLER DEVELOPMENT
Too many good projects die in committee. Paolo will streamline approvals and make it easier to build, grow, and invest in North Vancouver.
SAFER ROADS
Businesses and homeowners shouldn't wait months for a simple permit. Paolo will cut processing times and bring common sense back to City Hall.
SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOLS
Our kids deserve the best start. Paolo will work with the school district and advocate for resources that help every child succeed.
